The First Pocket Size Projector On The Market !

Aiptek, a Taiwanese manufacturer has brought a pocket-size projector “PocketCinema V10″ to market. The Aiptek PocketCinema is an innovative handheld-size projector which is not bigger than your cell phone or your ipod (4.9″ x 2.1″ x 0.9″) .

Optical technology used in this device is developed by 3M and it can project image size up to 42″ at over 5 feet away. This incredible gadget can display content from capable device via AV jack and can also show content from its 1 GB internal memory and also comes with an SD card slot. Aiptek’s PocketCinema supports MPEG-4 (.AVI, .ASF, .MP4), H.264 (.MP4),M-JPEG (.AVI) video formats, MP3 sound format and JPEG photo format. A remote control  and a tripod are in included in the package,too.

You can use this pocket-size projector as a compact business projection tool and get out of carrying heavy projectors (only 5.2oz = 148 gr) ; or you can buy it as an entertaiment tool to use with your multimedia phone, ipods or other media players. 5 years ago, it was a science fiction device, but now i’m looking forward to getting my pocket size projector to watch movies from my N95 wherever i want. It doesn’t have an LCD or a plasma TV quality but it means mobile big screen tv for camping holidays, outdoor partys and etc.
