Video: A 12 Year-old App Developer – Thomas Suarez

Thomas Suarez has two published apps, a startup company and a compelling TED talk under his belt; all at the tender age of 12.

Most 12-year-olds love playing videogames — Thomas Suarez taught himself how to create them. After developing iPhone apps like “Bustin Jeiber,” a whack-a-mole game, he is now using his skills to help other kids become developers.

Thomas Suarez’s interest in technology and programming led him to learn Python, Java, and C “just to get the basics down.” He built an app and then coaxed his parents into paying the $99 fee to get his app, “Earth Fortune,” in the app store. Thomas also started an app club at school to help other kids build and share their creations, and is now starting his own company, CarrotCorp.

You should watch his inspiring speech at TEDx conference in Manhattan Beach, LA in the video below.

  1. Pretty great post. I simply stumbled upon your weblog and wanted
to say that I’ve really enjoyed browsing your weblog posts. In any case I’ll be
subscribing in your feed and I’m hoping you write once more very soon!

  2. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I found this in my hunt for something regarding this.

  3. Quality content is the important to interest the visitors to pay a
quick visit the web page, that’s what this website is providing.

  4. I’m really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A few of my blog visitors have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this issue?

  5. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now
each time a comment is added I get three e-mails with the same comment.

Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
    Thank you!

  6. Hey! Someone in my Facebook group shared this website with us
so I came to give it a look. I’m definitely enjoying the information. I’m book-marking and will be tweeting this to my followers!
Outstanding blog and superb style and design.

  7. However, it does not havve to take on this format either.
Effortlessly stunning and stylish, pearls have long been considered to be the epitome of glpamour and pure, natural beauty.
Thiis process helps us in determining our different functions in the society like in role
    playing scenes in the house.

  8. This design is wicked! You definitely know how to keep a
reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to
start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.

I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how
    you presented it. Too cool!

  9. I was suggested this blog by my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else know
such detailed about my difficulty. You’re wonderful!
    Thanks!

  10. I believe what you composed was actually very logical. But, consider this, suppose you were to
create a killer post title? I am not saying your information is not good,
however what if you added something that grabbed people’s attention?
    I mean SiteBoat

  11. This is indicative of the fact that every single day you waste in adopting
this form of marketing, the more you lose it to your rivalries from
business point of prospect. Even though some of the 19th century dress options were scrutinized initially for being
prudish in nature, they soon overcame the
stigma and went on to become one of the most sought after lines of
clothing. The sharing of knowledge through the World
Wide Web has accelerated our growth exponentially, beyond anything
    we could have contemplated before.

  12. Great post. I was checking constantly this blog and
I’m impressed! Very useful information specifically the last part :) I care for such information much.

I was looking for this certain information for a long time.
    Thank yyou and gopd luck.
