Video: How an iPad is Made

Apple has been criticized for the labor conditions in the factories that make iPhones, iPads and Macs. When Apple joined the Fair Labor Association, the Association investigated the factories Apple uses, the most famous of which is Foxconn. The report found cases of excessive overtime, unsafe working conditions, and instances when workers weren’t paid the wages due to them. Apple has vowed to fix those problems.

After recent media reports about working conditions in Foxconn, people wonder how chinese workers assemble Apple products.

American Public Media’s Marketplace Shanghai Bureau Chief Rob Schmitz is only the second reporter ever to gain access to visit the factory floor at Apple’s Chinese producer Foxconn. You can see highlights from his tour of the assembly line, the Foxconn facilities and how an iPad is made in this video.

  3. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My site
has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it
is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you
know any techniques to help protect against content from being
ripped off? I’d definitely appreciate it.
