Your Car Running Out Of Fuel, Then RechargeIT – A Google Project

Only The USA consumes 400 million gallons of gasoline every day. Because of high demand world wide; the gas prices record high. We can’t abandon our cars back; so we need to find a new energy source to drive our cars. On the other hand, gas which we use in our cars is number one reason for global warming.

RechargeIT is an initiative within Google.org’s Climate Change Program aimed at accelerating the adoption of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (“plug-in hybrids”) and vehicle-to-grid (“V2G”) applications. As a “hybrid” philanthropic venture itself, Google.org can apply a broad mix of resources – investments, grants, policy, public engagement – to addressing the climate crisis.

Electricity usage for plug-in vehicles:Ford Escape Plug-In 133.2 Wh/mi, Toyota Prius Plug-in 139.6 Wh/mi for all trips.

Google.org is a hybrid philanthrophy, to address world’s most urgent problems and also managing Google Foundation. Google.org is supported financialy as 1% of Google’s equity and profits. Google.org is as “Social Responsibility” project of Google.

RechargeIT is a Google.org initiative that aims to reduce CO2 emissions, cut oil use, and stabilize the electrical grid by accelerating the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles. We have a demonstration fleet of plug-ins at our headquarters in Mountain View, and we’re collecting and posting data on plug-in performance, investing in innovative technologies, and advocating for the passage of important legislation. Our vision is that one day thousands of cars will be plugging into a greener grid.
